US device maker, Apple and mobile phone company, Etisalat Nigeria have announced a partnership to push iPhone 5S sales in the booming Nigerian market.

The mobile phone market opportunities in Nigeria has come under interest for these two major players who have join forces to explore smartphone market stakes in Nigeria

Customers that buy the iPhone 5s smartphone from Etisalat will be able to optimise the features on the device with the help of the mobile phone company’s Easyblaze data offerings, Jennifer Ukoh, Associate Analyst at Quadrant Company, the PR agency of Etisalat Nigeria told Technology Times.

The iPhone 5s bought from Etisalat Experience Centre, the service outlets of the mobile phone company, will still be compatible with other networks, she explained.

Speaking at the launch Charles Ogunwuyi, Director, Retail Sales at Etisalat Nigeria, said: ”I am glad to announce that the iPhone 5s is officially available at our Experience Centers nationwide and will come with one year warranty coverage from Etisalat”.

Ogunwuyi promised that Etisalat will deliver super-fast Internet service and cites that the mobile network now offers best data plans since the introduction of the Easyblaze package.

“Now it is not unusual to find an Etisalat SIM in most iPhones and iPads in Nigeria. This is no surprise as our Internet package, Easyblaze is arguably the fastest and most reliable in the market”, Ogunwuyi added.

According to him, “our partnership with Apple is a match of two innovative giants, it acknowledges our sustained investment in our network infrastructure and capacity to ensure consistent quality of service. There is no doubt that iPhone5s will be at its best while running on the Etisalat network.’’

The iPhone 5s delivers an improved camera and a nifty fingerprint sensor, It also introduced the A7 dual-core processor, the first 64-bit processor to be used on a smartphone, accompanied by the M7 “motion co-processor”, a dedicated processor for processing motion data from its accelerometer without requiring the attention of the main processor.

Weighing just 112g, the iPhone 5s spot a 4inch 1,136 x 640 screen and comes in various storage capacity ranging from 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
