Lagos residents may be in for a better way of planning their journey following plans by a Lagos-based technology company to unveil a new service that delivers live video feeds of traffic situation across the nation’s commercial capital on mobile phones.
Tsaboin, a Lagos-based technology company and provider of Tsaboin Traffic Talk, a service that offers real-time feeds of traffic situations across Lagos said that it has partnered with U12Drive.com to add live video feeds to the fast-growing traffic information service.
Tsaboin announced today that it plans to release the “Lagos Traffic Live Cam View” service on its imminent beta version of its TrafficTalk app.
“We are excited about it because you can now watch live pictures and videos of traffic situations around Lagos”, Dele Odufuye, CEO of Tsaboin said in a statement announcing the new service. “This is powered by our synergy with U12Drive.com.”
According to him, “you can see live pictures and videos of traffic situations around Lagos because we have cameras stationed around Lagos showing accurate traffic situations of several routes.”
The app will be released in phases to avoid overloading the service as with the first batch going to “Tsaboin users and our exclusive beta list subscribers”, the company said about the phased scaling up of the live video service.
