Alcatel Idol 4s, the latest Alcatel smartphone launched last July sports an amazing design that makes it the company’s flagship smartphone.
One major feature of Alcatel Idol 4s is the Boom key that can be used for different purposes while using the device.
The Boom Key of Alcatel Idol 4s is located at the right side of the device, which can be used for a number of controls.

The Alcatel Idol 4s, which cost $399 only, has a slim package design style which measures 153.9 x 75.4 x 7 mm for the 5.5-inch device.
Alcatel Idol 4s is covered mainly with a metal frame construction, which might have affected its weight to 149 gram. It also comes with a duo of Gorilla Glass 3 glasses at the front and back, as well as a thin bezel of plastic put between the 2.5D front glass and the metal frame.
The Alcatel Idol 4s is designed with extra top and bottom speaker areas that extend slightly outside the rest of the device area. With each of the extra top and bottom speaker areas on both sides of the phone, the Alcatel Idol 4s carries a special design of a total of four speaker grilles: two on the back and two on the front. The Alcatel Idol 4s ships with Android 6.0.1 O.S. The Home screen features a standard setup with multiple pages for widgets and shortcuts. As common in many Android devices, the bottom row contains the shortcuts.
The button in question can serve different purposes depending on the context ranging from enhancing audio or quickly launching the camera all the way to activating the car’s boost in a racing game such as Asphalt Overdrive.
Upon first launch, it shows a QuickStart tutorial clarifying where on the phone you need to put each type of 3D convent, so you can view it. The launcher itself contains a total of eight categories: shows, games, video, photo, 360, 360 photo, tutorial and Littlstar.
Also, the 360 degree videos on YouTube and Street View in 3D is programmed for convenience. It also has the Alcatel’s bundled VR store, most of which links to Google Play.
The Alcatel Idol 4s ships with 16MP camera, touch focus, a dual-tone led flash and instant shot mechanism. The 8 Mpxl Front Camera FF, also has along with it a Front Flash, Real-time face beautification mechanism inbuilt. It has a manual mode, which gives you access to ISO, while balance, shutter speed and even allows for manual focus.
For video, it has a special Micro-video mode for short video creation and editing capability and a SLO-MO setting, which can be done on the go.
As earlier stated in the design, Alcatel Idol 4s comes with a micro USB 2.0 high speed port. It has an overwhelming connectivity featuring a HSPA with 42 Mbps downlink, and 5.76 Mbps uplink. The device is enhanced with a 4G device which support up to Cat 4, LTE B1/3/7/8/20/28A, with 150Mbps downlink and 50Mbps uplink. It is furnished with wireless network enhancement of Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz), Wi-Fi direct, Wi-Fi display and Bluetooth 4.2. It supports OTG, GPS with A-GPS also.
Alcatel Idol 4s ships with an internal memory of 32 GB, with a 3 GB Random Access Memory (RAM). It has an end user memory of 25 GB and a MicroSD slot that can take up to 512 GB.
The Alcatel Idol 4s is equipped with a non-removable 3000 mAh battery, Quick charge version 2.0 with maximum charging time of 95 minutes.
