Lagos. November 19, 2012: Mobile World, organizer of the Mobile Innovation Awards has announced the 2012 edition of the ceremony which is slated for November 30, 2012 at Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
The Mobile World awards acknowledges achievements and accomplishments in the telecoms industry, VAS providers, ICT companies and banks that are pushing the boundaries and shaping ICT industry by the volume of ICT software applications and technologies being deployed in their operations, according to organisers.
Group Publisher of MobileWorld Magazine and Summit organizer of GTS, Akin Napthal, says that no fewer than 200 eminent personalities are expected to attend.
The awards night will offer unique opportunities for leading ICT professionals to rub minds and network for the furtherance of their businesses. The socio-economic impact of the telecom sector on the nation’s development will be x-rayed during the event, Napthal says.
According to him, the media innovation awards acknowledges Nigeria as a key hub of the world’s mobile and telecoms market in terms of penetration and innovation and promotes the best of mobile-based implementations on the continent.
The wide array of award categories of the year include the Mobile Solution Provider, Mobile Phone, Wholesale Carrier, Telecom Equipment Vendor, Customer Service Provider, Mobile Operator and Infrastructure Company.
Other awards include the ISP provider, ICT Company, Software Company, Business Service, Mobile Money Service, Innovative Mobile Products, CDMA Company, Best Bank in IT, CSR operator, Telecom Brand, ICT supporting Company and Telecom CEO.
